Golden Ribbons
A Poem
SundayWhirl Always a fun challenge. I'm late posting, as the new challenge has been added. But I still wanted to put this one up. Join the fun. Prompt words: stalk sky luck harness pepper jewel ribbon splash layers set light face
Golden Ribbons
Pulled the ear
off the stalk.
Removed the golden ribbons,
layers upon layers;
The topaz
jewel tones
of the corn on the cob set
my mouth watering.
Splash and rinse,
pin the ear,
butter, and salt, and pepper;
a smile on my face.

I know my mouth is watering now. Bring on the corn on the cob and put it on the grill in aluminum foil and drenched in butter. Woohoo. Haha. Great poem, Kaci.
